Today Clark Blackman is Founder and President of Alpha Wealth Strategies LLC, a boutique investment consulting and wealth advisory organization with offices in Kingwood and Houston, Texas. A planner/advisor/consultant since 1980, he has written over fifty articles on financial planning topics for national publications. He has presented his views on investing and planning at national conferences for the American Association of Individual Investors, AICPA, NAPFA, and the Investment Management Consultants Association. Recognized as one of the nation's "100 Most Exclusive Wealth Advisors" by Robb Report Worth magazine in 2004, he was recognized as one of America's Best Financial Advisors by Worth magazine for every year that publication published its list (covering a ten year period from 1995 through 2004). In addition to be inducted into the AICPA Business and Industry "Hall of Fame" in 2005, he was presented the Houston CPA Society's "Distinguished Service to the Profession" award in 2004.

At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame Mr. Blackman was the Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Investec Advisory Group, L.P., a local investment consulting and financial planning organization. He was primarily responsible for client service in the individual and institutional business lines, daily operational management, regulatory issues and investment manager analysis and reporting.

Prior to joining Investec, Blackman was Regional Director for Investment Advisory Services with Deloitte & Touche, LLP. His main focus was on marketing and client service efforts regionally, with a national role in training, quality control and development of best practices and strategy. Blackman built an investment consulting practice from zero to over $136 million in just over eight months.
